Ayurveda, translated as “The science of life”, is an ancient consciousness-based system of healing which has been around for over 5000 years. The Perfect Health program takes Ayurvedic principles and combines them with modern science to give you the tools you need to bring your mind and body back into balance, and in the direction of perfect health.

Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Workshop

By practicing the techniques learned in this workshop, you will be able to:

What you will learn:
The Perfect Health Workshop is a 10 hour introductory course in Ayurveda and healthy living. Through interactive group lectures, and personal experiences/activities you will determine your unique Dosha (mind/body constitution) and learn what foods, experiences, and activities are healthful for you.

Tools learned and experienced during the workshop include:

Session 1: Introduction to Ayurveda
In this introductory lecture you will learn about the background of Ayurveda, the basic principles and concepts, and its scientific validity. You will also determine your Prakruti (natural mind/body constitution) and Vikruti (current state/imbalance).

Session 2: Nourishment
This session educates you on how to eat to obtain balance. Subjects covered include the importance of strong digestion, the 6 different tastes and their effects on your unique Dosha, the importance of colour in food, how to improve your digestion, and eating tips.

Session 3: Emotional Freedom
This session focuses on the mind and the power of our thoughts and emotions. You will learn how emotions affect you physiologically and psychologically as well as tools to release emotions, have healthy relationships, and communicate effectively.

Session 4: Balance through the Senses
The fourth session is about your Inner Pharmacy. In this session you will learn the importance of your daily experiences, the effect they have on your mind and body, and how to balance yourself using all 5 senses.

Session 5: Full Circle
The final session is where all of the pieces get put together. You will learn how to incorporate all of the tools learned in the previous sessions into your daily routine so that you can live in tune with your body and the environment around you.
